10/25/03  Science Night at Berkeley Lake Elementary School
All those participating in the Science Night at Berkeley Lake Elementary School were appreciated and enjoyed demonstrating aspects of amateur radio and the electronics related to our hobby/service.

We were set up in their media room/library and operated HF, VHF, CW, EchoLink and QRP.

I'm told that the event attendance was greater than 700. A lot of those attending toured, touched, and talked with our members.

I need to mention that the ARRL and Gwinnett ARES were well represented.

Thanks Howie, W9HG, for making arrangements and rounding up the help.

This was a great public service and those of you that could not attend missed watching a lot of young future HAMs being awed by some of our members.
